Italo MARCHINI

Né aux États-Unis dans l’État du New Jersey et issu d’une famille italienne. Reconnu comme chef de choeur, Italo MARCHINI débute la direction d’orchestre à la Juilliard School de New York et à l’université Westminster Choir College. Au cours de ses études, il travaille avec Carlo Maria GIULINI, Erich LEINSDORF, Riccardo MUTI, et Leonard BERNSTEIN.
Italo MARCHINI fait ses débuts au Lincoln Center de New York en 1992, en dirigeant l’opéra Mosè de Rossini.
Fondateur de Coro Lirico e Orchestra d’America, il a également été chef d’orchestre principal du Teatro Lirico d’Europa et a dirigé l’Orchestre d’État de Mexico, Opera Orchestra de New York avec Vesselina KASAROVA, le Brno Phiharmonique, l’Orchestre de Opéra de Pékin, et l’Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana en Italie.
Il est l’assistant d’Eve QUELER au sein de l’Opera Orchestra of New York à Carnegie Hall et travaille avec Carlo BERGONZI, Renée FLEMING, Samuel RAMEY. Depuis 2005, il est chef assistant de John NELSON à l’Ensemble Orchestral de Paris mais également au Festival de Colmar et à Zürich. Il l’a également assisté dans Les Troyens à Genève. Il a dirigé l’Ensemble Orchestral de Paris en concerts à l’Opéra Comique.
En 2009, il est nommé à la tête de la Chorale de la Cité Internationale. Il est souvent engagé comme membre du jury des National Council Auditions au sein du Metropolitan Opera de New York.
Italo Marchini est citoyen d’Italie et des États-Unis et vit actuellement à Paris.

Italo Marchini – choral director
Born in New Jersey into an Italian family, Italo Marchini began conducting at the Juilliard School in New York and the University Westminster Choir College. During his studies, he worked with Carlo Maria Giulini, Erich Leinsdorf, Riccardo Muti, and Leonard Bernstein. Italo Marchini made his debut at Lincoln Center in New York in 1992, directing the opera Mose.
Founder of the Coro Lirico e Orchestra of America, he was also chief conductor of the Teatro Lirico d'Europa and led the State of Mexico Orchestra, Opera Orchestra of New York with Vesselina Kasarova, the Brno (CZ ) Phiharmonique, Peking Opera Orchestra and the Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana in Italy.
He was assistant Eve Queler in the Opera Orchestra of New York at Carnegie Hall and worked with Carlo Bergonzi, Renee Fleming, Samuel Ramey. Since 2005, he was chief assistant to John Nelson at the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris but also at the Festival of Colmar and Zurich. He has also assisted in Les Troyens in Geneva. He led the Ensemble Orchestral de Paris in concerts at the Opera Comique.
In 2009 he was appointed head of the Choir of the Cité Internationale. He often serves on the jury of the National Council Auditions at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
Italo Marchini is a citizen of Italy and the United States and currently lives in Paris.
